This is an area of great natural beauty with superb opportunities for nature lovers, cyclists, horseriders and ramblers. There are miles of country tracks through the woodland, lakes, rivers and streams with wild trout

The climate is slightly cooler than say the Dordogne - but some people find this more acceptable as there are not the overly high summer temperatures and although winter nights can be cold there is an abundance of cheap wood to keep the fires going - and winter is not very long.

Only three of the eight dwellings are occupied all year - the rest are holiday homes, this being an ideal place for a true 'get away from it all' holiday.

There are schools in both nearly small towns, as well as supermarkets, doctors, bars bakers and hotels.
